Kerry Belgrove

Kerry is a Senior Speech and Language Therapist with extensive experience supporting infants, children and families across neonatal, paediatric, community and disability settings.

She currently works within the South Kildare West Wicklow Children’s Disability Network Team, providing family‑centred, interdisciplinary assessment and intervention for children with complex developmental needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disability and a range of genetic conditions.

Before relocating to Ireland, Kerry built her career in South Africa as the owner and Clinical Director of a paediatric speech‑language therapy practice, delivering school‑based and private practice services across all areas of communication development. Her earlier clinical roles also included neonatal hearing screening and hospital‑based intervention for children and adults with acquired communication and feeding challenges.

Kerry has a special interest in early communication development, neurodevelopmental disability, and relationship‑based, family‑centered intervention. She is certified in the ADOS‑2 Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule™, The Hanen Centre™ It Takes Two to Talk® and More Than Words®, and is trained in a wide range of developmental and communication assessments and interventions. She is also an MSc SLT Practice Educator and a member of multiple professional bodies across Ireland, the UK and South Africa.

Kerry is passionate about early intervention and committed to embedding the Ei SMART principles to optimise developmental outcomes and strengthen parent–infant relationships during the earliest and most critical stages of life.
