Catherine Arbuckle

Catherine is a Highly Specialist Speech Language Therapist at the Royal Free Hospital and Barnet Hospital in London. She supports infants and families within neonatal care at level 1 and level 2 units to support positive early feeding and early responsive interaction as the foundation of communication development. She provides advice and support around chronic, complex, and acute feeding difficulties as part of a multidisciplinary team to optimise safety, enjoyment and development of eating and drinking skills.

Catherine has experience working with infants and children with complex communication presentations including diagnostic evaluation and intervention of autism spectrum disorder, developmental language disorder, and language delay. She has a particular interest in early intervention, family centred and holistic approaches to empower families as primary communication partners to support their child’s development. She is passionate about using Ei SMART within practice to optimise infants and families from the beginning.
